Your personalized program will be specific to your abilities and goals, and will change every 4-6 weeks. We know your time is valuable. Rachel Cosgrove, 2012 IDEA Personal Trainer of the Year, co-owns and has operated Results Fitness, a fitness center in Southern California, for the past 16 years. Results Fitness was named one of the top ten gyms in the United States by Men’s Health Magazine three years in a row and was voted a Best Gym by Women’s Health Magazine in 2011.
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and holds her CSCS with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Throughout her career she has also been certified by a number of organizations including the International Society of Sports Nutrition, USA Weightlifting, Functional Movement Systems, and Precision Nutrition.
Rachel has been featured in numerous magazines including Muscle and Fitness Hers, Men’s Fitness, Men’s Health, Women’s Health, Women’s Running, Oxygen, More Magazine, Runner’s World, Women’s World, Real Simple, and Shape Magazine. She was also featured in Experience Life Magazine as both the expert and as the fitness model. Currently Rachel has her own column and is on the advsiory board for Women’s Health Magazine.
She is the best-selling author of the book The Female Body Breakthrough, published by Rodale in November 2009. Her second book, Drop Two Sizes: A Proven Plan to Ditch the Scale, Get the Body You Want & Wear the Clothes You Love, also published by Rodale, was released in April 2013. She has conducted television interviews on Fox, ABC, and WGN repeatedly. She has been featured on numerous radio shows promoting her current book, Drop Two Sizes, and has made an appearance on the Dr. Oz Show.
A spokesperson/consultant for Nike, Rachel has also been a consultant for Secret Deodorant, Gatorade, Livestrong.com, Women’s Health, and Men’s Health Magazines.
As one of the featured speakers for Perform Better, a company dedicated to functional training, rehabilitation and sports performance, she lectures nationally and internationally on topics such as strength training, fat loss, business in the fitness industry, and nutrition specifically for women, helping them to reach their potential in all aspects of their life.
An athlete herself, she is an Ironman triathlete and has been to the World Championships on Team USA for triathlon. She has also competed in Powerlifting where she set a National record along with a number of endurance events and fitness competitions.
Extremely goal oriented, Rachel is always looking for a new physical challenge and draws from experience making her a better coach. Rachel and her team at Results Fitness strive to be the best part of their members’ day every day, achieving results, changing lives, and having fun while doing it! Co-Owner of Results Fitness
Born in Scotland and initially exposed to fitness training through an intense competitive sport martial arts background, Alwyn Cosgrove began reading and studying any training related material he could get his hands on. This led Alwyn to formal academic studies in Sports Performance at West Lothian College and then progressed on to receiving an honors degree in Sports Science from Chester College, the University of Liverpool.
During his career as a fitness coach, Alwyn began with assisting in martial arts lessons in 1986 and teaching fitness classes in 1989, and has studied under all of the top fitness professionals and coaches in the world and has worked with a wide variety of clientele, from general population clientele to several top level athletes, World Champions, and professionals in a multitude of sports.
A sought after expert for several of the country’s leading publications including a regular contributor to Men’s Health Magazine, Alwyn has co-authored five books in the “New Rules of Lifting” series and currently spends his time consulting on fitness training, training clients, training his staff at Results Fitness, speaking on the fitness lecture circuit, and coaching fitness trainers worldwide in their businesses. Fitness Department Manager, Coach and Program Design Specialist
Craig has relocated back to Southern California after spending several years in Indianapolis, Indiana working as a fitness coach at a private training facility, and a strength coach at the high school level. Prior to that, Craig worked as a full-time physical education teacher at the middle school level in Santa Monica, California. Craig also received his BA in Physical Education from CSU Chico. He grew up in Ventura, attending Buena High School, with basketball being his sport of choice.
Craig became passionate about weight training following his freshman year in college when his junior college basketball coach listed that two of his weaknesses were his strength and size. This proved to be a great motivation for him and he is now a competitive powerlifter and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.Dismiss
Kathy has been married for 21 years with two girls ages 20 and 19. She became a member of her first gym at the age of 16. Being a child of the “aerobics” era, she didn’t actively start weight training until many years later. Enjoying the benefits of weight training, she decided to become a trainer and received her certification from ACE in 2006. Kathy enjoys riding quads & buggies. She also enjoys both snow & water skiing, and camping with family & friends. Her love of fitness, along with a 10 year background in retail management, makes Kathy a definite asset to the Results Fitness team.Dismiss
Born and raised in the valley, Harry earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State Northridge in Kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science. Growing up he had trouble dealing with his weight, and at the age of 16 was introduced to working out. At first it was a nuisance until Harry realized he had found a new passion in fitness. He began reading books, articles, and journals about working out until it became a part of him.
Driven to help others and with a love for fitness, Harry found his destiny in the field of physical therapy. After some minor injuries and the need for physical therapy, it was love at first sight. From that moment on he knew which path his future was heading. Harry began volunteering at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Reseda and then shortly after started working for another outpatient physical therapy clinic in West Hills. After almost four years of working at the same clinic Harry felt he needed a change.
The philosophy on fitness and physical therapy at Results is what Harry always envisioned. Now he is grateful to be a part of the Results Team not only to help others, but also to gain valuable experience for his future career. Sawyer was born and raised in Granada Hills, but lived in northern California and played soccer at Humbold State, a division 2 school, where she graduated with a degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in exercise science and health promotion, and a minor in psychology. She worked her way up from red shirted freshman to a starter on the soccer team by her sophomore year. Sawyer excelled in the weight room, and was voted All-American by the NSCA in her senior year. Always a hard worker, she pushes herself to reach goals and was a leader and source of encouragement for her teammates.
Sawyer stayed in northern California for seven years, tucked behind the redwood curtain, and was an assistant coach to the team at the university for two years. Although she has a great deal of love for the game, she realized coaching soccer was not where her heart was and pursued a personal training style of coaching. “I find pleasure in helping clients succeed in reaching their goals, watching them overcome obstacles they did not think they were capable of overcoming.”
After working for two and a half years at a Results Fitness affiliate gym in northern California, Sawyer recognized that there was much to be learned by the trainers at Results Fitness. She applied for our internship, moved back to southern California, was chosen to become a part of our Results team, and the rest is history!

Ash swapped the green hills of England for the sun-filled skies of California and realized a dream when he joined the Results Fitness team. A passion for learning and helping others to great achievements inspired Ash towards a career in the fitness industry. He started lifting weights at a young age to develop his confidence and improve sports performance. This ignited a fire and passion for all things fitness.
Ash finished studying English at university and began his fitness journey by attaining several qualifications including strength and conditioning, Olympic lifting, and soccer coaching. He believes his most valuable qualification is experience.
This “English gent” used his strengths in teamwork, leadership, and hard work to run his own personal training business and captain a hugely successful semi-professional soccer team. Ash has a wealth of experience in both fitness and soccer coaching, which has enabled him to meet and learn from a variety of people along the way.
Ash’s favorite Results Fitness core value is #5 “Have Only Good Days and Great Days”. This positive outlook is very apparent in the way he coaches, lives life, and high fives everyone in the gym!Dismiss
Being small and weak for most of his life, Timmy decided to learn how he could become stronger and faster. Unfortunately, without a proper coach, many injuries occurred along the way. Realizing that fitness is not just copying the biggest guy in the gym, his passion for proper learning began.
Timmy graduated from CSUN in 2014 with a degree in finance, but knew that this was not the field for him, so he followed his instincts and his passion which lead him to Results Fitness. “I am thankful that I get to work and be among the best in the industry,” says Timmy.

Sara was a competitive athlete with a background in cheer, gymnastics, and dance. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2015, studying International Relations and Technology Management, and spent the last part of her education at the Universite de Bordeaux in Bordeaux, France.
During her undergraduate career, Sara recognized her passion for health, fitness, and leadership while working in Student Affairs. After struggling with health problems, she decided to pursue knowledge of health management through strength training and nutrition. Sara completed a Fitness and Marketing Internship and soon after became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. She spent an additional year working in the tech industry, but continued her passion for fitness as a Crossfit athlete and physical therapy intern, working with recovering athletes. She returned to her hometown to join the Results Fitness team, hoping to help people reach goals and gain confidence.
Sara believes that attitude is the #1 factor in achievement. Her goal in the fitness industry is to help people reach goals while feeling confident and healthy regardless of body shape and size. Of our core values, Sara’s favorites are #7 “Constantly Learn, Always Improve” and #11 “Keep Leading.” Her favorite quote on leadership is “When I talk to managers, I get the feeling that they are important. When I talk to leaders, I get the feeling that I am important.” To apply these values, Sara maintains a flexible and ever-evolving coaching approach based on clients’ individual learning styles and goals.Dismiss
Lalo has devoted his last six years as a fitness professional to improving the health and fitness of his clients and team members. He has the belief that anyone can improve their fitness lifestyle with effective programing and hard work. During his college years, Lalo learned very early on from his strength and conditioning coach what safe, efficient, and results-driven programing looks like. As a former All-American strength and conditioning athlete, at the collegiate level, he knows exactly what it takes to train to be your best.
Lalo continues to learn from the top fitness professionals in the industry. In 2015, Lalo became a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach, which is a proven system guaranteed to see results through nutrition coaching. In the last six years, he has dedicated his time to continuing education including, TRX Suspension Trainer Clinics, Dynamic Variable Resistance Training, Perform Better Summits, and various other strength and conditioning clinics.

From grocery clerk to bartender to martial arts instructor to [finally] Membership Director of Results Fitness, Elias has been working with the public his entire life. He believes that relationships are the driving force behind positive change in the world.
Originally seeking his education in physical theatre and fight choreography, Elias became enamored with character study and the reasons behind how people make decisions, especially in desperate situations. This fascination lead to studying multiple sources including “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman, “Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus” by John Gray, and Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People.” Since joining Results Fitness his communications education has sky-rocketed with mentorship from our very own Alwyn & Rachel Cosgrove. Having since completed courses in micro-expressions, personality profile, and customer care, Elias believes the foundation of what Results Fitness does is based on building relationships to change lives.
Elias’ own fitness journey has taken him from being self-conscious and embarrassed about his weight to a positive work in progress, back in his suit, confident enough to start dating his wife again! “I was missing out on so much and didn’t even realize it until it all started coming back again. I owe this success to my amazingly supportive wife and my teammates and family at Results Fitness…I’m “hungry” for more!”

Avery was born and raised in the Santa Clarita Valley. She has one older brother, one younger sister, and an awesome pair of parents. Avery’s dad introduced her to soccer at the age of four and it quickly become her passion.
Avery attended W.S. Hart High School, College of the Canyons, and then transferred to Cal State Monterey Bay where she was recruited for the women’s soccer team. Avery graduated from C.S.U.M.B. in 2011 with a degree in Kinesiology, and with a focus on physical education. One of her biggest dreams is to travel to some of the world’s most impoverished regions and inspire young girls through the game of soccer.

Emma Josey is our newest WGYB here at Results Fitness! She just turned 18 and graduated from Hart highschool. Emma loves Dance! She has been dancing and competing for 15 years, with an emphasis on ballet. Emma also participated in and choreographed for Hart show choir.Emma currently attends College of the Canyons studying psychology.
